Three DeLoreans included in LEGO 10300 Back to the future Time Machine

Launching on April 1, 2022, 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine includes options to build a DeLorean based on all three films and time periods

In the Back to the Future trilogy, the look of the DeLorean changes when repairs are required for the modified vehicle, reflecting the atmosphere of the time periods with new technology or dated references.

The LEGO design team have included these changes as optional add-ons to the base DeLorean build in 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine, meaning that you can make three models with the one set by rebuilding it slightly each time.

The alternative for those hoping to create the ultimate LEGO Back to the Future display is to buy three copies of 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine when it releases on April 1 to have all versions of the time machine built at once.

The most iconic appearance of the DeLorean is pictured as having the lightning rod hook, though this should be easily removed thanks to the Technic pin connection.

This is a rare sign of a modern LEGO set featuring 3-in-1 capabilities outside of the dedicated Creator 3-in-1 theme and could indicate that this will be an option in sets when necessary going forward.

No matter what the future holds for 3-in-1 models, you can expect to find 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine on shelves and online from April 1, 2022.
