The best LEGO Star Wars Mando and Grogu sets come to those who wait

One wave of LEGO Star Wars sets based on The Mandalorian and Grogu has been revealed, but more are rumoured to be on the way.

With five LEGO Star Wars based on the upcoming The Mandalorian and Grogu movie revealed last week, both the sets and the following trailer keep Disney's cards close to its chest when it comes to the actual plot of the movie. We've got impressive shots but with little substance to them in the trailer, and the sets follow suit, with no real villain or unknown characters to be found amongst them.

However, looking at what's already rumoured in LEGO Star Wars for the rest of 2026, it seems like perhaps the best sets might be being saved for later in the year. That's in keeping with Disney's track record of keeping big plot points and characters under wraps until its titles have actually come out.

We've seen it before in Marvel movies and Star Wars TV shows, and there's a handful of rumoured set names for sometime in 2026 that seem to be tied to the upcoming movie. Indeed, the majority of those sets come with higher prices and piece counts, perhaps meaning that the more detailed or display-focused builds are being held back until a time when the LEGO Group can be more explicit about plot points from the movie.

For example, 75453 The Mandalorian & Grogu Sandcrawler is said to cost $199.99 / €199.99, 75454 The Mandalorian & Grogu AT-AT is said to cost $159.99 / €159.99, 75459 Mando Imperial Shuttle is said to cost $139.99 for 961 pieces, and 75461 The Mandalorian & Grogu is expected to be made up of 1,028 pieces.

Those are some substantial prices and sizes and, while bigger and more expensive doesn't always mean better, it does leave more room and budget for more detailed sets. The rumoured sets are more in line with the price and piece count of 75447 The Razor Crest, which is arguably the most enticing model from the wave that's already been revealed, thanks to its minifigure line-up and return to an iconic ship.

If we were to speculate about the rumoured LEGO Star Wars sets, these could be the home of minifigures for characters introduced in the upcoming film, like Embo who has already been teased in the trailer but is conspicuously absent from any revealed sets – so far. The set names for 75453 The Mandalorian & Grogu Sandcrawler, 75454 The Mandalorian & Grogu AT-AT, and 75459 Mando Imperial Shuttle all seem to suggest sets based on ships, which tend to lend themselves well to display.

Of course, that's all just speculation on our part for now and any rumoured details here should be taken with the usual pinch of salt until we get confirmation from the LEGO Group. However, considering The Mandalorian and Grogu is Star Wars' return to the big screen in over five years, we'd anticipate much more is still to come to LEGO Star Wars than what's been revealed so far.
