The cross-theme LEGO helmet range is rumoured to be expanding beyond fictional universes in 2026, with at least three buildable Formula 1 driver helmets now said to be on the cards.
We’ve already seen plenty of buildable headgear from Star Wars, Marvel and DC over the past half-decade, but a.clay.brick now reports (via a Brick Tap source) that three brick-built F1 helmets are coming to shelves next year. Those are said to be numbered 43014, 43022 and 43023, which are all product numbers currently filed under the codename ‘Special Editions’ – along with eight other mystery sets.
There’s no word yet on who those helmets could belong to, but the depth and breadth of Formula 1 history is really the LEGO Group’s oyster. It’s already revisited classic cars and drivers Ayrton Senna (pictured up top) and Nigel Mansell (pictured below) under the Icons banner, while simultaneously turning its attentions to current teams with its Speed Champions, Technic and City 2025 line-ups.

That casts a wide net for potential F1 helmets, so let us know in the comments who you’d like to see included in the rumoured range. What's interesting to note here is that the price tags previously rumoured for these specific set numbers are $89.99, $129.99 and $89.99 for 43014, 43022 and 43023 respectively, which are a) not all equal and b) far higher than the prices for Star Wars and Marvel helmets.
Those product numbers also leave us with more questions than answers surrounding the codenamed ‘Special Editions’ theme: will these all be Formula 1 helmets (that would be a lot), are they all just Formula 1-related in some fashion, or are they a more eclectic collection of sets that also encompass F1 helmets?
We probably won’t have answers to any of those for a while yet, but the key takeaway for now is that the LEGO Group’s multi-year partnership with Formula 1 is apparently driving off in new directions in 2026.
