Canadian Prime Minister gifted LEGO City set by Danish ambassador

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has been gifted a LEGO set (aka Denmark's best export) by the Danish ambassador, Nikolaj Harris.

Prime Minister Mark Carney shared some pictures of a LEGO gift from Danish Ambassador Nikolaj Harris, specifically LEGO City 60422 Harbor. The set actually retired at the end of 2025, so either this was a delayed thank you for the gift or Ambassador Harris has an in with the LEGO Group.

"It was time to build this weekend (with LEGO)," wrote Prime Minister Carney. "Thanks to Ambassador Harris for the gift. Solidarity with Denmark."

As well as a picture of the two men exchanging the LEGO set, there's also an image of the built set, showing that Carney (or at least someone in the Canadian government) has already been hard at work putting the 1,226-piece set together.

This isn't the first time that Danish politicians have gifted LEGO sets to foreign dignitaries, with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen bringing LEGO Architecture 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza to a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty. While there aren't any LEGO sets based on specific Canadian icons, the LEGO City set appears to have gone down a treat with Carney.
