The LEGO X-Men minifigures may not be as common as Avengers, but thanks to a surge of sets, there are many minifigures from the past 12 years.
The LEGO Group has been focusing more on the X-Men in the past few years than they have in more than the last decade, offering up a wealth of LEGO Marvel X-Men minifigures. Though there are still many characters to cover, collectors just starting with LEGO Marvel will have their hands full trying to collect every X-Men minifigure ever released.
From the elusive Deadpool set to San Diego Comic-Con exclusives and now,
2012
2012 was the start of LEGO Marvel and back then, the theme wasn't solely focused on the films, split between comics and movies as it is becoming more and more again in the modern day. Thanks to this split, there were four X-Men minifigures in 2012 across one set and one exclusive San Diego Comic-Con giveaway.
This includes Deadpool, a familiar Magneto and the always-common Wolverine in 6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown. Jean Grey as the Pheonix was also released, though it has become an expensive minifigure thanks to its limited distribution.
2014
Two years later, more X-Men joined the scene with Cyclops and Storm in 76022 X-Men vs. The Sentinel alongside new versions of Wolverine and Magneto.
2014 also marks the debut of Wolverine's mask and a fabric element for Storm that found further use a decade later. Cyclops too would return in another decade but in the years following, he would be absent from LEGO Marvel.
2017
2017 was similar to 2012 in that there were a couple of X-Men minifigures in a standard set and one related to the team in a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive. Deadpool Duck is the more elusive of the trio, available only at the event and in a limited quantity.
Meanwhile, Magneto and Wolverine received new Mighty Micros minifigures in an exaggerated style in 76073 Mighty Micros: Wolverine vs. Magneto. The Mighty Micros would continue until the following year.
2018

2018 was a quiet, but not silent year for LEGO X-Men with another exclusive San Diego Comic-Con minifigure – Sheriff Deadpool. Thankfully, the quiet period for LEGO X-Men was almost over, though we didn't know it at the time.
2021

2021 was another quiet year for the LEGO X-Men but thankfully, it was a revolutionary year for LEGO Marvel overall that inadvertently brought us many LEGO X-Men minifigures this year. This is thanks to the debut of the LEGO Marvel modular buildings.
2022

Wolverine continued to be a common entry in the LEGO X-Men in 2022 thanks to
2023
Thanks to the second LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures Series, a more detailed version of Wolverine based on X-Men '97 debuted alongside Storm and Beast in 2023 with a handful of new elements between them.
This includes a homage to Storm's original fabric cape element that wraps around the arms that we saw in 2014. Beast is brand new though and this remains the only minifigure of the character to date.
2024
There's no doubt that 2024 is the biggest year for the LEGO X-Men to date and it will be difficult to top in the years to come. Starting with
From November 1,
Otherwise, the likes of Gambit, Professor Xavier, Iceman and Bishop are brand new to the line-up. There's even a second Charles Xavier minifigure in
LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is an exciting set for Marvel fans and it will be available from November 1 for LEGO Insiders (and November 4 for everyone else) for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99, complete with an exclusive GWP. You can check out our full review of the mansion here.
