An upcoming LEGO gift-with-purchase tied to the Chinese New Year has been revealed, recreating a rich cultural tradition.
40915 Lion Dance has been revealed as a future GWP, although the qualifying spend and dates have not yet been confirmed. The 480-piece set features two traditional lion costumes, with space underneath for the four included minifigures to man them like puppets.
Each lion measures 13cm long and 9cm tall, and you can seemingly pose them either standing 'on all fours' with the minifigures relatively hidden, or standing up on the hind legs to reveal the minifigures. The two lion costumes come in red and yellow, with horns and white details for extra flair.
The minifigures can slot securely into the costumes from the look of the photos of 40915 Lion Dance, with plates for them to sit on and room underneath the lions for them to slot into the empty gaps.
With the Lunar New Year coming up between February 17 and March 3, we'd expect this GWP to launch in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for confirmed details from the LEGO Group as and when we have them.
