Five LEGO March 2024 sets you might have overlooked

Five LEGO March 2024 sets you might have overlooked

A huge number of new LEGO sets are launching today, but here are five models that you may end up overlooking when out shopping this month.

March 1 is a massive day for new LEGO sets, with all kinds of models arriving online and in stores, covering a wide range of themes, piece counts and prices. While some will be picking up the first LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary builds of 2024 and others will be going for multiple Technic and Speed Champions racing sets, there are even more notable models worthy of your attention.

Here are our recommendations for five such sets also releasing on March 1, all of which should definitely be considered when you’re planning this month’s mega LEGO shopping spree.

77050 Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House

Theme: LEGO Animal Crossing Pieces: 535 Price: £64.99 / $74.99 / €74.99

LEGO Animal Crossing 77050 Nooks Cranny Rosies House 1024x703

Announced months ago, the first wave of LEGO Animal Crossing sets have finally arrived. Fans of the Nintendo video game series can pick up five different builds from today (and a GWP polybag), but 77050 Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House is the essential purchase. Why? Well, not only is it the largest set in the theme so far, it’s also currently the only way you can pick up a minifigure of rascally Tom Nook.

31158 Sea Animals

Theme: Creator 3-in-1 Pieces: 421 Price: £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99

LEGO Creator 3 in 1 31158 Sea Animals 4 1024x768

While 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox may end up getting most of the attention, its companion Creator 3-in-1 set is also worth purchasing. 31158 Sea Animals features a selection of brick-built aquatic creatures that can be displayed on transparent rods as part of a seafloor stand and the animals can then be rebuilt into new forms, increasing the model’s display options.

Theme: LEGO Exclusive Pieces: 232 Price: £21.99 / $25.95 / €24.99

LEGO 40714 Carousel Ride Lifestyle featured 1024x576

Only available from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from March 1, 40714 Carousel Ride looks as if it would have made for an ideal gift-with-purchase set. The most affordable model on this list, the exclusive build comes with three minifigures and features a small, colourful amusement park attraction, plus a ticket booth and multiple play accessories.

43249 Stitch

Theme: Disney Pieces: 730 Price: £59.99 / $64.99 / €64.99

LEGO Disney 43249 Stitch featured 1024x576

Many collectors will no doubt be snapping up 43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage from today, but it’s not the only LEGO Disney set you should grab this month. 43249 Stitch offers up a 730-piece brick-built version of Lilo’s crazy alien companion, one that measures over 20cm tall and can be placed in a variety of display poses.

71819 Dragon Stone Shrine

Theme: NINJAGO Pieces: 1,212 Price: £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99

LEGO NINJAGO 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine 7 1024x767

The NINJAGO theme usually offers up iterations of various mechs and vehicles, but 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine is something altogether different. Following in the footsteps of the likes of 76261 Spider-Man Final Battle, the model is an incredibly detailed 13+ playset that comes with six minifigures including Euphrasia, a brand new character and the Elemental Master of Wind.
