Five LEGO purchases to qualify for the luminous ghost gift

Five LEGO purchases to qualify for the luminous ghost gift

A new and spooky LEGO gift-with-purchase has just launched, and many new and upcoming models will qualify for the free set.

Despite being disguised as a Braille Bricks build at the time of writing, 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost is now available with all orders of £110 / $120 / €120 or more, excluding pre-orders. This spooky gift-with-purchase is on offer starting today until October 7, or while stocks last. This means that not only can you pick up currently available models to qualify for it now, you can also wait until October 1, when dozens of new builds are launching.

With this in mind, here are some suggested sets to pick up and score 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost, whether you want to start building as soon as possible or wait for the new October releases.

October 2025 Christmas creations

October 1 marks the launch of the latest range of LEGO Christmas sets. This includes 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure, 40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker and 40812 Snowman Ornaments. Together, this trio of festive and new models will cost you £112.97 / $127.97 / €127.97, which is just enough to get you a free 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost with plenty of time before the holiday season.

Catch up on advent calendars

Picking up a combination of LEGO 2025 advent calendars is a good way of qualifying for the new Halloween gift-with-purchase. In the US, you'll need three of the $44.99 advent calendars. In the UK and Europe, any three of the £29.99 / €34.99 calendars and one of the two £19.99 / €26.99 sets will be enough to net you the ghost gift-with-purchase, and get you ready for December 1.

It's also worth noting that the Minecraft calendar will have you well on your way towards the free 30704 Balkiry Attack, which comes with orders of £35 / $40 / €40 on sets from Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, Animal Crossing and Fortnite.

10358 Soundwave, with double points too

LEGO Icons 10358 Transformers Soundwave 24 981x1024

Though it may be a couple of months old by now, 10358 Soundwave for £159.99 / $189.99 / €179.99 is one of the better picks to qualify for the ghost gift-with-purchase. The most recent LEGO Transformers set easily qualifies for the threshold and includes a sound brick to go alongside 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost's light brick.

10358 Soundwave is also available with double LEGO Insiders points until October 2, netting you enough points for 10% credit to put towards a future order and the gift-with-purchase at the same time.

10361 Holiday Express Train

LEGO Icons 10361 Holiday Express Train will be released on October 1 and costs £109.99 / $129.99 / €119.99 with a full loop of track and a festive train to go around your Christmas tree later this year.

That price is perfect for US fans wanting the new gift-with-purchase and the latest Winter Village model in order, but it's just shy of the threshold in the UK and Europe by £0.01 / €0.01. This can be easily amended by adding something inexpensive to your basket, such as 854245 Fennec Shand Keyring for £2.99 or one random 71050 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse minifigure for €3.99.

75419 Death Star

The £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99 75419 Death Star may be pricey, but picking it up during LEGO Insiders early access on October 1 will at least net you both the exclusive 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack and 40772 Celebration Series: Luminous Ghost. Those interested in the biggest LEGO Star Wars set to date might as well pick it up when multiple gifts-with-purchase are being offered.
