Five things we spotted in the LEGO 2025 polybags

The first look at LEGO 2025 polybags has revealed a few interesting revelations for several themes next year, matching up with recent rumours.

An online retailer has revealed quite a few LEGO 2025 polybags for a range of themes from Sonic the Hedgehog to LEGO Icons' Botanical Collection. On both the packaging and in the builds, we can spot a few details that might offer some insight into what will come from these themes next year.

Here are five things we spotted in the newly revealed LEGO 2025 polybags. You can take a look at the full selection confirmed yesterday by clicking here.

The rumoured storm is coming to NINJAGO

LEGO NINJAGO 30699 Mini Ninja Combi Mech

The packaging for LEGO NINJAGO 30699 Mini Ninja Combo Mech should match up with the rest of the theme's packaging next year based on previous polybags. It's also likely that this artwork will align with story beats in the narrative in 2025. Specifically, a storm is ravaging a village in the background as whirlwinds with purple lightning line the top and bottom of the box art.

A storm is named in several rumoured LEGO NINJAGO 2025 sets including 71830 Kai’s Storm Rider Mech, 71832 Storm Dragon, 71833 Ras’ Storm Jet and 71841 Dragonian Storm Village. None of these builds have currently been confirmed, but the presence of a storm on the official packaging might add some weight to them. The latter rumoured set even names a village similar to what we can see in the background of 30699 Mini Ninja Combo Mech.

A new look for the LEGO Botanical Collection

LEGO Icons 30701 Field Flowers

30701 Field Flowers has two interesting details related to the packaging. The first is that the polybag's theme at the top is labelled as LEGO Botanicals. This might suggest that the LEGO Botanical Collection will become a separate theme from LEGO Icons in 2025, or it might just be labelled as such on the packaging.

The background of this polybag includes a gradient of green and tan different from every other LEGO Botanical Collection released previously. This implies that the rest of the range in the future will adopt a similar background too, rather than the plain black design that LEGO Icons is known for.

Cooper's new outfit

LEGO DREAMzzz 30698 Coopers Flying Controller Mini Build

LEGO DREAMZzz's first 2025 set to be revealed is 30698 Cooper's Flying Controller Mini Build and there are a couple of key takeaways we can spot in this small model too. Cooper's new minifigure is sporting a new outfit in what is the third look for the character. Hopefully, this means the rest of the Dream Chasers are getting new looks next year too.

Otherwise, the enemy in this set is a small spider-like robot that appears to be spreading a virus in the Dream World that is changing the colourful landscape into a monochrome land with blue hues. This might hint that the next villain in the theme following the Nightmare King and Never Witch will be a technology-focused enemy.

An early look at a rumoured NINJAGO 2025 set

Another detail to spot in the 30699 Mini Ninja Combo Mech polybag is the possible design for the rumoured 71834 Zane’s Ultra Combo Mech. The reported LEGO NINJAGO 2025 set shares a similar name to the officially-revealed polybag and the colour scheme would fit Zane.

This and the alternate builds of a dragon, car and plane might be what the rumoured LEGO NINJAGO 2025 set looks like. It wouldn't be the first time that a NINJAGO polybag recreates a larger build as previous examples including 30674 Zane's Dragon Power Vehicles, 30592 Mini Thunder Raider and 30591 Titanium Mini Mech.

The LEGO Space range isn't going anywhere

LEGO City 30694 Space Science Mech

While the LEGO Formula 1 collection is confirmed to be coming across multiple themes next year, it turns out that the space range that spanned several themes this year isn't going anywhere.

30695 Space Science Mech features the banner that was used to label all the sets in the 2024 collection no matter what theme they were in. Whether other themes will continue to have a presence in the range beyond City is not confirmed but at least the LEGO Group isn't immediately eschewing the space range next year.
