Free LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber store event comes to the UK

UK LEGO Stores will be hosting a free LEGO Star Wars Make & Take event where you can build your own miniature lightsaber.

Selected LEGO Stores in the UK will be offering the chance to build your own LEGO Star Wars Lightsaber, as pictured above, and take it home with you on March 7 between 10am and midday and on March 8 between midday and 2pm. The builds will be available to those aged 10 and up, on a first-come, first-served basis and only while stocks last.

There's a limit of one LEGO Lightsaber per person, with no purchase necessary to take part. Most UK stores are taking part, with the exception of LEGO Store Belfat, LEGO Store Birmingham – Utilita Arena, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, and LEGO Store Manchester – Trafford Palazzo. It's always best to check the store page for your local retail location ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

The build itself is fairly accurate despite its simple look, using blue transparent pieces to simulate the lightsaber blade. Various pieces are used across the hilt to replicate the texture of the buttons and grip for extra authenticity.
