The designers behind the upcoming 71052 Series 29 have revealed exactly how the latest LEGO Collectible Minifigures came to be.
LEGO Minifigures 71052 Series 29 arrives next month, bringing with it an all-new selection of 12 unique characters to start tracking down. Just how the latest LEGO Collectible Minifigures came to be and why certain inclusions were made over others was revealed to Brick Fanatics by the designers of the series at last year’s Fan Media Days event.
In the YouTube video below, LEGO Collectible Minifigures Design Lead Esa Nousiainen and Graphic Design Lead Tore Magelund Harmark-Alexandersen talk about their approach to 71052 Series 29, why specific characters made the cut and which new elements will be included in the mystery blind boxes.
One key aspect discussed by the LEGO Collectible Minifigures design team was the desire to not repeat themselves and instead offer up something new and exciting in 71052 Series 29 to make the characters even more desirable to fans.
While that does mean there are no LEGO Castle minifigures to be found in 71052 Series 29, the likes of BIONICLE Cosplayer, Mysterious Ronin, Unicorn Elf, Trash Monster and Tuba Player should more than make up for their omission.
