The LEGO Group has officially unveiled 43008 Nike Dunk, the first set from its multi-year partnership with Nike.
Consisting of a brick-built Nike Dunk shoe, the Dunk logo and a rotating basketball, 43008 Nike Dunk includes 1,180 pieces and launches July 1 for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. It’s not the first footwear modelled in bricks – that accolade goes to 2021’s 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar – but the scope of this set goes beyond just the shoe to create a fully-rounded display model.
43008 Nike Dunk also features extra laces (built from LEGO bricks here, rather than the more realistic shoelace of the Superstar) to customise the colours of the shoe, and the entire package is rounded out by a basketball minifigure – dubbed ‘B’Ball Head’ – that features a unique head element and dual-moulded legs with side printing.
The LEGO Group says this is the first of several LEGO Nike sets on the cards for 2025, with more products due to be revealed this summer for a September launch. The LEGO Nike collection will also extend to footwear and apparel, starting with the Nike Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection on August 1 and the Nike Dunk Low x LEGO Collection on September 1.
“Play has the incredible ability to inspire and spark creativity in every child, and at the LEGO Group, we truly believe in that power,” said Federico Begher, SVP, Product Group, New Businesses at the LEGO Group. “We’re excited to kick off the first chapter of our partnership with Nike, blending the joy of basketball with the magic of imagination.”
As promised, the LEGO x Nike collaboration will include not only products and content but also experiences, with events due to take place in London from July 19 to 27, as well as in Shanghai, Beijing and other key Chinese cities this summer. A new Play Arena will also open at LEGOLAND California from June 7 to 11.
43008 Nike Dunk should be available to pre-order from LEGO.com as you read this, while the Air Max Dn and Dunk Low collections will be available to buy from Nike and ‘select retail partners’.
