Slowest to release, LEGO City
The irony of the LEGO City Formula 1 set featuring the start-finish line being the last to release in its range isn’t lost on us, and unfortunately it does position

The two cars are designed in exactly the same way as six of the other eight F1 City cars from across the other sets – 60442 F1 Driver with McLaren Race Car,

As is the case with the other F1 cars, these are nicely designed in a way that works to City’s charms and still captures enough of the essence of the vehicles they are based on for that same nice all-round balance, even if – particularly for the VCARB – the design of the livery will begin to look increasingly dated through the year given how different the 2025 season design of the real thing is.
The two vehicles are joined by a start-finish line complete with F1 logo above the start lights. A simple but very clever design feature allows for the lights to be switched from red to off (signifying the start of a race) with a move of the logo.

It’s a nice play feature across a nicely-proportioned build and fits in well with what the theme has offered across the range of sets so far – the full collection of cars from the current grid complemented with builds of varying size and detail showcasing snippets of F1 life and activity around the sport. 60474 does so by offering the closest taste of on-track action so far, even if it’s just a couple of small portions of crash barrier at the foot of each side of the lights stand.
Our honest opinion: This is the final piece in the LEGO City F1 collection and matches the same quality and enjoyment as all the other sets, for a great price too.
