The LEGO Group and BAFTA have announced a new collaborative partnership aimed at fostering the next generation of creative and innovative individuals.
Building on a recent year-long promotional campaign centred around Aardman’s animated short film, Boop, the LEGO Group and BAFTA have announced a new partnership. The collaboration will highlight the arts charity’s Young BAFTA talent programme, which provides a path for children and young people in the UK to become the next generation of creatives and innovators.
As an official partner, the LEGO Group will continue to empower kids through play and creativity, offering them unique opportunities to explore rich and diverse stories, such as Boop’s stop-motion studio tool in the LEGO Play app.

“We are thrilled to bring the LEGO Group and Young BAFTA together,” said Anna Rafferty, SVP of Digital Consumer Engagement at the LEGO Group, “two organisations united by a shared belief in the power of creativity and storytelling. This is an exciting opportunity to spark the next generation of young storytellers, putting creative opportunities, tools and inspiration directly at their fingertips.”
The LEGO Group will support Young BAFTA by continuing to integrate creativity into future community-driven initiatives, with the programme giving children and young people access to workshops and mentorship opportunities, which will provide essential transferable skills and access to the arts to boost mental wellbeing and self-expression.
“At Young BAFTA, we aim to show every young person that their unique perspective deserves a place in our industry,” said Katie Campbell, Head of Talent Programmes at BAFTA. “We are delighted to join forces with the LEGO Group, who share our belief in this and the transformative power of storytelling. Together, we can provide the creative space needed for children to find their own voices and feel inspired, ensuring the next generation feels equipped and encouraged to express their own creativity.”
