LEGO Antique Collection features unique parts in BDP first

LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 6 910061 Antique Collection makes a first for the program in featuring unique parts.

The reviews are out for all of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 6 sets, ahead of crowdfunding opening on Monday, February 16. That includes an in-person look at 910061 Antique Collection, designed by terauma, aka Fuma Terai, the designer of LEGO Ideas 21361 Gizmo.

With 910061 Antique Collection now revealed in full, reviewer Tips and Bricks has pointed out that there are no fewer than eight unique parts included in the set. That's a first for the BrickLink Designer Program, which typically only uses LEGO parts that are already in use, with no recolours or new moulds to speak of.

The microfigures, the goat, the monkey, the dog, and the blue dragon are all included with no prints for the very first time. Previously, they've featured in LEGO Harry Potter, NINJAGO, and other themes, but with printed details. Now, they're repurposed to become antique statues and figurines in the brick-built cabinet.

Up until now, they've only ever been seen with printed details, making them exclusive to 910061 Antique Collection – a first for the BrickLink Designer Program.

That's not to say that the rules have changed for submitting to BrickLink. Fan designers will still only be able to use existing parts and colours in their submissions, even if 910061 Antique Collection has made history for the theme in debuting unique parts.
