LEGO BrickLink can't handle the traffic – but there's already a fix

LEGO BrickLink's website crashed with the launch of pre-orders for Series 1, but thankfully there's already a fix for the apparent server error.

Within minutes of pre-orders opening for the five fan-designed sets in BrickLink Designer Program Series 1, the BrickLink website was down due to an apparent server error, leaving many people unable to successfully order sets. Considering there's a maximum of 30,000 orders per set, sets are expected to sell out, so time is relatively of the essence if you're keen to get your hands on the models.

Luckily, X (formerly Twitter) user Ronald has shared a way to still click through and order the sets. The link will take you directly to the LEGO online store, rather than the BrickLink website, seemingly bypassing the server issues. From there, you'll see the sets you've pre-ordered in your basket and will be able to check out as usual.

We've gathered all the relevant links for you in the table below, if you click through the 'Buy now' links in the right-hand column. If you want to pre-order multiple sets, simply return to this page and click another link, and you'll see your sets stacking up in your basket.

BrickLink has not commented on the issues at the time of writing but a fix could be on the way soon. For now, this seems like the best way to secure your pre-order of any of the five sets.
