A trio of travel-themed characters and pieces have been revealed as part of the upcoming LEGO Build a Minifigure May 2026 line-up.
Thanks to twogayafols on Instagram, we now have our first look at what the May 2026 LEGO Build a Minifigure parts selection will consist of. Those include elements for assembling three new characters, all of which are based around a travel theme and will be coming to store stations from May 1.
The first of those minifigures is a Backpacker, complete with dual-moulded hat and hair piece, as well as a printed head and torso. The LEGO Build a Minifigure character could certainly be handy for adding to a number of existing City sets such as

Next up is Airline Pilot, who comes with a stylish hairpiece, plus printed head and torso, as well as a suitcase accessory. Although the BAM minifigure isn’t quite a perfect fit for the recently-released 11378 Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner, it’s close enough, or could even be incorporated into the likes of 60367 Passenger Airplane and 60502 Airport with Airplane.

Finally, the LEGO Build a Minifigure May 2026 line-up is rounded out with what may prove to be the most popular of the upcoming characters, the Balloon Pilot. The minifigure boasts a brown helmet and green legs, plus a double-sided printed head and printed torso which would work well with the upcoming LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 8 Hot Air Balloon.

Of interest is the symbol and scroll shapes on the minifigure’s torso that match those on the Steampunk Inventor in 71048 Series 27 and the Monster Hunter in 71052 Series 29, as well as a gold sextant, the first time the piece has been available in that particular colour.
You’ll be able to grab all of the LEGO Build a Minifigure parts and characters when they arrive at LEGO Stores from May 1, 2026.
