After a series of submissions on LEGO Ideas, the LEGO Group is finally teaming up with Daft Punk for digital minifigures and a build.
The LEGO Ideas community have made the demand for LEGO Daft Punk minifigures and models clear in 2020, 2023 and earlier this year. After some rejected proposals and a brief cameo in the Piece by Piece movie, the LEGO Group has entered a new partnership with the band, thanks to Fortnite.
Daft Punk will be the stars of an in-game experience in Fortnite later this week, and as has been the case with numerous Fortnite partnerships so far, it has extended to LEGO Fortnite with a pair of digital minifigures. We now know what official LEGO Daft Punk minifigures look like, even though these won't be released physically at the time of writing.
The Daft Punk experience and outfits (with corresponding LEGO Styles) will launch on September 27, but there's an additional LEGO element to this partnership. There will be a Daft Punk LEGO Kit in the form of a pyramid, matching their iconic stage, which reacts to music played nearby. It's the first LEGO Kit of its kind to do so and the first LEGO Kit to be based on a licensed property that has not received physical LEGO sets.
Previous LEGO Kits have been based on Marvel, Star Wars and The Nightmare Before Christmas, but these partnerships all exist physically, while that of Daft Punk is strictly digital-only at the time of writing.

There is a LEGO Ideas project based on Daft Punk that is currently under review, and evidently the LEGO Group accept the band for some products. Whether this partnership will extend to a physical item will depend on the results of the first 2025 review.
