A can of paint for this method is unlikely to cost anywhere near as much as the approximately $90 required for the grey version of 43019 Football's parts. Some responses in the comments estimate a cost of between $5 to $10. While you'd be losing access to the prints on the pieces in 43019 Football, and would need to add the green superlaser yourself, this manual recolour of 43019 Football is effective.
