The latest LEGO Pass has launched in Fortnite, and it introduces an emote which directly brings LEGO elements into modes beyond LEGO Fortnite.
The Palm Paradise LEGO Pass is now available within Fortnite, bringing with it another assortment of builds designed for the LEGO modes, and an outfit designed first for the non-LEGO modes that was then turned into a LEGO Style. It's common for the offerings within LEGO Fortnite to have been designed for Fortnite first, then ported over to LEGO Fortnite with corresponding designs.
One of the last rewards you can earn as part of the new LEGO Pass is the Lil' Ducky Train traversal emote, depicting a minifigure riding on a series of LEGO vehicles that rebuild. For once, this emote has been designed for LEGO Fortnite first, then transformed for the non-LEGO modes. The pieces that are used for the transforming LEGO vehicle have been reused for the standard version of the emote, with some minor retexturing.
The standard form of this emote undoubtedly features recognisable LEGO elements, with only the beak of the duck changing notably enough. It's the first time in the LEGO Group and Epic Games' partnership that LEGO elements have been featured in non-LEGO modes, which feature realistic weaponry. The fact that this is a standard emote also means that outfits without LEGO Styles can directly interact with LEGO pieces, without needing to be available within LEGO Fortnite.
While the initial live event that teased LEGO Fortnite occurred in Battle Royale, players were transformed into minifigures, just like in LEGO Fortnite. Whether this will be the last appearance of LEGO elements in non-LEGO modes is unknown, but for now, you can pick up this emote on the Palm Paradise right now for 1,400 V-Bucks and by acquiring the necessary amount of XP points.
