Take a look at how the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Room of Requirement gift-with-purchase combines with the current modular Hogwarts system.
40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement is available with all LEGO Harry Potter purchases above £115 / $130 / €130 from September 1 to 7 (or while stocks last), and for anyone collecting the current Hogwarts sets will be an essential pickup next month. That’s because it integrates seamlessly with this summer’s 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower thanks to its ability to fold up into a closed room.
We’ve already gone hands-on with the Wizarding World GWP, but YouTuber SwiftBricks has now demonstrated how 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement fits into the school’s main tower (and single biggest set to date). There’s one slot in the base of the tower that can accommodate the Room of Requirement perfectly, taking the place of the Chamber of Winged Keys.
As SwiftBricks notes, the swappable classrooms don’t affect the exterior aesthetic of the castle, so this will purely change how it looks from the rear side. The predominantly tan pieces break up the visual harmony of the otherwise light grey underground section of the tower, and of course folding up and slotting away the Room of Requirement means you can’t appreciate and enjoy its detailed interior.
But if you’re bringing out the Chamber of Winged Keys to display or play with, 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement will fill the gap left behind – and as mentioned, anyone angling for a complete collection of current Hogwarts sets will need to conjure up an order large enough to qualify for it on September 1 either way.
That could be achieved simply by purchasing the new 76457 Hogsmeade Village Collectors’ Edition, which is also launching September 1, but there are plenty of other LEGO Harry Potter sets available now too.
