The announcement of a LEGO Ideas Godzilla model shouldn't be too surprising, especially when the LEGO Group has the perfect foundation.
Godzilla will officially be able to stomp around your LEGO cities in the future, thanks to the third 2024 review results, where it was confirmed for a future LEGO Ideas set. MattE720's proposed design is based on Godzilla in the current Legendary Pictures films, with two small arms, a lengthy tail, rows of spikes and a small head.

This fan design also has some posing, though the use of specific angled elements suggests that posability is limited. The official LEGO Ideas set would be wise to expand on this, and it has the perfect foundation to build off.
LEGO Super Mario's massive
Bowser's puppet-like design with hidden mechanisms to use the figure as he stomps through levels would work perfectly for a LEGO Godzilla that is both playable and displayable. After all, it would be a shame to get LEGO Godzilla if we can't stomp him through a modular display. Bowser's fire blast feature could even be adapted with a blue equivalent for Godzilla.
