There appears to be one important extra item missing from physical editions of the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures video game.
Sony this week officially confirmed that LEGO Horizon Adventures will be launching on PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2024, In addition, pre-orders will kick-off on October 3 and receive a bonus Aloy’s Shield-Weaver outfit, plus the Digital Deluxe Edition will get exclusive customisation options.
In addition, LEGO Horizon Adventures appears to be foregoing a traditional massive playable character roster by offering up multiple costumes instead, with the Digital Deluxe Edition also getting six special edition outfits based on familiar PlayStation faces.

That may sound like an impressive package, but it doesn’t quite match up to previous LEGO video game offerings. While it doesn’t look as if any DLC will be forthcoming at any point for LEGO Horizon Adventures, there is one extra item that could have been included in physical editions of the game.
We’re talking of course about an exclusive minifigure, with past titles from TT Games having come with all sorts of unique and collectible characters. For example, 2016's LEGO Marvel Avengers added a unique Silver Centurion Iron Man Mark 33 minifigure, LEGO DC Villains featured a Lex Luthor Superman Armour variant in 2018 and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrived in 2022 complete with Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk minifigure.
Sony has already confirmed that LEGO Horizon Adventures will feature playable versions of Aloy, Varl, Erend and Teersa, with the latter three unlockable characters making ideal candidates for exclusive minifigures to be bundled with the game.
The only minifigure based on the original Guerrilla Games title released to date has been Aloy, who was included with 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck. The LEGO set is now long-since-retired, so adding a new character as an exclusive incentive with a physical edition of LEGO Horizon Adventures would surely have been well-received by fans of the game and collectors alike.

At this stage, there are no signs of any such deluxe physical version of LEGO Horizon Adventures being released by Sony or via any third-party retailers. That may change once pre-orders go live on October 3, but for now it appears players will have to settle for bonus digital content instead.
You'll be able to check out LEGO Horizon Adventures for yourself when it's released on PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2024.
