LEGO Icons 10362 French Café has an interior after all

As much as LEGO Icons 10362 French Café is designed for display over anything else, that doesn't mean the front doors lead to a brick wall.

The first entry into the LEGO Icons Restaurants of the World range is launching soon following its reveal earlier today and already, it's clear that this is a build designed for display over anything else. While some of the elements and other aspects of 10362 French Café are to scale with minifigures, it's not even a perfect match for the popular figures, explaining why none are included.

Instead, 10362 French Café is a display piece meant to be viewed from a single angle – front on. The back of the build is structural, to say the least, and the build has six studs of depth at most. All of this is understandable considering the display-centric intentions for the model but rest assured, the design team have still managed to insert a tiny interior space.

Open the double doors of 10362 French Café and you'll find a table and chair as well as a striped wall with wooden accents and what appears to be a till at the side to serve customers. It's not a lot to work with and you'll struggle to display many scenes inside the café, but it's good to see that the LEGO Icons designers didn't abandon the idea of building interiors entirely with this new set.

10362 French Café will be released on March 1 for £69.99 in the UK, $79.99 in the US and €79.99 in Europe.
