Recently, 21311 Voltron launched as the largest set to have originated as part of the fan inspired theme. LEGO The Flintstones is expected to be released at some point in 2019. The current LEGO Ideas sets are available from shop.LEGO.com.
LEGO Ideas is saying “yabba-dabba-doo” in the first 2018 project review, greenlighting The Flintstones.
Live on YouTube, the LEGO Ideas team has announced the next fan-submitted project that will become an official set. The Flintstones, submitted by Andrew Clark, has been chosen and will bring the modern Stone Age family to the LEGO line-up. The Treehouse has also been selected from the latest review.
Andrew’s project offers a section of the Flintstones’ house with their memorable car that requires foot power, suggesting minifigure versions of Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm with a moulded version of Dino. It reached 10,000 votes in February this year.

There is no guarantee that the final release will follow Andrew’s model, but it is likely to take plenty of inspiration from it. It is not the fan designer’s first LEGO Ideas set to reach official product status, as he was also responsible for 21304 Doctor Who, which was released in 2015.
