Joining a line of Studio Ghibli-themed, fan-designed projects, the latest set to gain 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas takes inspiration from Spirited Away.
Anime fans are some of the most passionate out there, and that carries through to fan-designed LEGO Ideas projects. NasqBrick's Chihiro & No-Face (Piggy Bank) has gained 10,000 supporters, becoming the 16th project in the first review of 2026.
Based on Spirited Away's No-Face, the set aims to create a functional model where the head can tilt back, which simultaneously raises the hand holding a sake cup as a coin holder. The mechanism is driven by an internal gear system, allowing the head to move back about 25 degrees, while the hand rotates at twice that angle. The limited movement makes sure that the coin falls into the mouth.
Chihiro & No-Face (Piggy Bank) joins 15 other fan-designed projects, which you can remind yourself of in the table below. This review round will run for another few months yet, with more and more projects competing to become a future LEGO Ideas set.
