First LEGO Ideas review of 2026 is buzzing with a new fan submission

A new fan-designed submission has floated into the first LEGO Ideas review of 2026 in the black and yellow shape of Fuzzy Bumble Bee.

The first LEGO Ideas review of 2026 continues to grow and swell its ranks with even more impressive 10K fan creations on an almost weekly basis. The latest such design comes from the mind of TaipanTheSnake who has submitted Fuzzy Bumble Bee, a brick-built version of the Common Eastern Bumble Bee, otherwise known as Bombus impatiens.

One of the most important pollinator bees in North America, these highly-productive and social creatures are an essential part of the growth of such plants as tomatoes and blueberries and make large-scale agriculture of the crops possible.

Fuzzy Bumble Bee is an attempt to capture the ‘furry adoreableness’ of the insect, with attention-to-detail including its mandibles, iridescent eyes, a pollen catch on one of the hind legs, and tiny claw elements representing the fur on its back and shoulders.

What’s more, the LEGO Ideas submission also boasts a posable head, legs and transparent wings, offering different display options. Fuzzy Bumble Bee is rounded out with its own stand and a selection of white flowers to place next to the completed Hymenoptera.

We’ll find out if the fan-designed model creates enough buzz with the LEGO Ideas team later this year, when the results of the first review of 2026 will be revealed in full.
