LEGO Ideas review gets a boost from Schitt’s Creek

Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel and Pioneering: The Vintage Film Camera are the latest fan-designed submissions to hit 10K in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2026.

It’s time for yet another pair of LEGO Ideas creations to muscle their way into the first review of 2026, thanks to two new designs that have each managed to clock up 10K supporters. Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel and Pioneering: The Vintage Film Camera have both hit that target, meaning the models are now in with a chance of becoming physical LEGO sets at some point down the line.

First up is Pioneering: The Vintage Film Camera from Shawshank, a recreation of a piece of early 20th century photography equipment. The brick-built replica has a folding front section and its own 40-inch tripod, allowing the device to be displayed in multiple ways.

Pioneering: The Vintage Film Camera also utilises a number of gold elements, with details including carrying handles, an opening rear flap, a retractable lens and a detailed focus ring, all of which are sure to delight those who appreciate the history of photography.

Then there’s Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel by Rosedew Bricks, inspired by the long-running award-winning Canadian TV sitcom, created by father and son, Dan and Eugene Levy. The familiar location from the show recreates the building itself, along with a number of rooms, as well as key moments from the show that fans will recognise.

Those include references to the likes of the ‘fold in the cheese’ scene, Nana Budd’s Christmas decorations, Moira’s Rose’s Garden, Ted the Turtle and more. In addition to the motel office, the Rose family’s rooms and exterior sections, the LEGO Ideas set also comes with minifigures of Johnny, Moira, David, Alexis Rose, Stevie Budd and Patrick Brewer.

Schitt’s Creek: Rosebud Motel and Pioneering: The Vintage Film Camera join 84 other submissions in the first review of 2026, with the results of which models have successfully made it due to be revealed by the LEGO Ideas team later this year.
