LEGO Ideas 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket is a brick-built recreation of the iconic red spaceship, so smooth that it almost doesn't look like a LEGO set.
That's not necessarily a criticism of the next LEGO Ideas set, just revealed earlier today. 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket is the very first LEGO Tintin set, breaking new ground for both the LEGO Group and Tintinimaginatio (which is the company in charge of Hergé's work) and setting a new style precedent.
Every inch of it is, of course, made from LEGO bricks, but special care was also taken to ensure that key details from the original comic books were accurately represented in the Ideas LEGO set. That has resulted in an impressively smooth curving rocket, with rounded edges at virtually every point.
It was quite the challenge for LEGO designer Ellen Bowley to nail, but nail it she did, as she explained at LEGO Fan Media Days in Billund. Brick Fanatics' own Matthew was there to hear from her and LEGO Ideas Design Manager Jordan Scott.
