Following the official reveal of LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, we're diving into every detail in our visual tour and gallery.
The newly-revealed 3,093-piece LEGO Marvel set recreates Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, as seen in the X-Men ’97 TV series, and follows in the footsteps of three previous Marvel modulars: 76178 Daily Bugle, 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, and 76269 Avengers Tower. 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is perhaps most similar to 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum in that it dives into detail and width rather than towering height.
There are plenty of details to delight X-Men fans in 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, thanks to its massive 48×32-stud footprint. To give you the best overview of all of its highlights, read on for our detailed visual guide to the latest LEGO Marvel modular.
LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion exterior
The main build of 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is modular not just in how it connects to other sets but also for the interior. As you can see above, you can lift away each of the two upper floors to offer access to the interior. The LEGO Marvel set certainly focuses on the mansion itself, with not much of the baseplates dedicated to the school's grounds. There are narrow areas for minifigures to stand on at both the front and the rear, however, and a huge buildable Sentinel that stands outside of the building.

Zooming into the interior, the upper level houses Professor X’s laboratory, Wolverine’s bedroom and a medical lab, while the ground level is a lobby, a classroom and a library. There are dozens of references to X-Men and elements from the X-Mansion, such as Cerebro, switchable Danger Room items, an exploding cupola (the dome-like structure on the roof), a motorcycle for Wolverine, and stickered and printed nods to iconic moment from the X-Men franchise.
LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion minifigures

There are ten minifigures included in 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, five of which – Professor X, Jean Grey, Storm, Gambit, Iceman, and Bishop – are making their debut, at least as these variations of the character. They're joined by returning versions of Wolverine, Rogue, Cyclops, and Magneto.
Many of the minifigures come with elements that represent their mutant powers, like Iceman's blue crystals to reflect his ice powers, lightning bolts for Storm, and a particularly impressive recreation of Gambit's playing cards.
LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion functions
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion certainly looks good but it's not just a pretty face. It also has plenty of play features, like the customisable Danger Room which can be configured in different ways thanks to the interchangeable walls and accessories. There's also a sliding interactive whiteboard in the classroom and, as noted above, an exploding rooftop that can be activated with the push of a switch.
76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion launches November 1 for LEGO Insiders for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99, before going on wider sale at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores on November 4. From November 1 to 7 (or while stocks last), all purchases of the new LEGO X-Men set will include 5009015 Cerebro, a brick-built model of Professor Xavier using his mutant-detecting device.
