Rumour has it that Oscorp Tower is getting a LEGO Marvel set later this year and despite a smaller piece count, it shouldn't limit its inspiration.
In many Marvel universes, Oscorp sits in the same skyline as Stark Industries, The Avengers and even the Daily Bugle. After years of waiting, it's rumoured by redditor Clay_Bricks that the company's headquarters is finally getting a LEGO set later this year with 808 pieces for $129.99.
Compared to the likes of
Tower design
The rumoured set's exterior design can take architectural cues from many of the various Oscorp Towers from films, comics and games but there are a few features that link them all. From the name of the corporation plastered across the side of the building vertically to a darker colour scheme with plenty of black, Oscorp Tower has an ominous presence in any skyline, which makes sense when you consider the many villains it has created.
Ignoring how this company has managed to stay in business in light of numerous accidents in any source material, a LEGO recreation of Oscorp Tower – even with only 808 elements – should state the name of the company clearly and have a black exterior at least. What it shouldn't do is confine itself to the specific design of any one tower, but make its presence known as a wholly original design similar to
Interior
Much like any of the LEGO Marvel buildings – no matter their size – the interior of a LEGO Oscorp Tower would be as crucial if not more than the exterior. It presents a chance for the designers to show off their Marvel and Spider-Man knowledge. Similar to our points about the exterior, there are many iterations of Oscorp Tower to take inspiration from inside the building too.
Just as h28bricks has proposed in their custom modular building, games, movies and comics can all be easily referenced across the various floors of a LEGO building. From the eel tank in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 to Marvel's Spider-Man's symbiote-infused healing chamber for Harry Osborn, it would be a shame if the rumoured set was limited to just one source material, especially inside the tower.
Side builds
With the rumoured piece count of 808 elements, 76324 Oscorp Building might not have much room for side builds should it include a sizable tower model and interior details. Still, Green Goblin seems all but certain for such a model and he would need to be accompanied by his glider, maybe adding even more detail than that of
Otherwise, any additional elements would be beneficial to build up a brick-built Rhino suit referencing The Amazing Spider-Man movies similar to 76037 Rhino and Sandman Super Villain Team-up (though this villain's relation to Oscorp is loose at best). Alternatively, a larger Lizard figure with a lab coat would be a great side build – or better yet a specialised bigfig – and the villain was even made by Oscorp in some source material.
Minifigures
The rumoured 76324 Oscorp Building's most exciting potential lies in its minifigures. The word is that eight will be included, split evenly between heroes and villains and can likely be assumed that Spider-Man and Green Goblin are shoe-ins. Spider-Man has the potential for an exclusive minifigure though, tying loosely into the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series starting this month.
In the new series' first trailer, it has been confirmed that the hero will have a new suit designed by Oscorp with a white design that would be easy to translate to a minifigure. Green Goblin by contrast seems more likely to use the normal version of the character as seen recently in
Adding to the villain side (but as an alter-ego of the Green Goblin), this rumoured LEGO Marvel should see a fully formal Normal Osborn minifigure after

Otherwise, it would be great to see the LEGO Group finally make good on the teases in
This is all speculation based on the initial rumour for now so pack a pinch of salt just in case anything is inaccurate and there are a lot more sets similarly rumoured for this year for LEGO Marvel.
