LEGO Minifigures Series 25 hunting made easy with Brick Search

LEGO Minifigures Series 25 hunting made easy with Brick Search

Brick Search can help you find any LEGO Minifigures Series 25 minifigure in a matter of seconds by reading the code on the back of the blind box packaging.

The LEGO Group introduced a new feature on the Series 25 minifigures – a data matrix code. Some boxes have a larger version than others and Brick Search’s scanner can read this larger version and use it to show you what’s inside.

That means there’s no more guesswork involved when you want to find a specific minifigure – just scan the code and you’ll know what minifigure you have in your hands without opening the box.

The image below explains what to look for and how to do it:

How does the Brick Search Series 25 minifigure scanner work?

The data matrix codes on the base of the Series 25 minifigure boxes can be read by apps such as QR code readers.

Reading a data matrix code with a QR code reader will return a long string of numbers, and it is possible to refer back to each of these numbers each time a code is scanned to know what’s inside.

The Brick Search scanner, though, is able to read those same numbers and compare them to the numbers associated with each individual minifigure in the app’s database. Once it has found a number that matches, the minifigure is shown in the app. The whole process takes just a few seconds.

Brick Search is available for iOS devices here, and for Android devices here.
