A Baby Riyu figure revealed by one of the NINJAGO show’s writers appears to be the only real LEGO exclusive at SDDC 2023.
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con will start wrapping up today, with the last of the show’s panels and screenings bringing the annual pop culture event to a close. The LEGO Group has once again been in attendance, with a slightly more prominent presence than in recent years, thanks in part to the company’s impressive Brickbuster Video stand.

A single ‘Be Kind, Rewind’ minifigure was also available at the LEGO booth, but the company only really had only one show exclusive available at SDCC 2023.
A NINJAGO talent signing event at LEGO's Brickbuster Video stand gave fans a chance to meet some of the show’s creators and pick up a unique Baby Riyu figure. The free polybag was revealed on social media by writer Doc Wyatt, with the variant having a different colour scheme from regular versions of the tiny dragon, as well as glow-in-the-dark eyes.
There’s no word yet on when or if the Baby Riyu figure will be available as a promotional item outside of SDCC 2023, but fans might just want to hold off on shelling out for the character on the secondary market for now.
A recent panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 recently revealed that LEGO NINJAGO Season 2 will be coming in 2024, although no specific date has been mentioned so far for the return of the animated series. The show is currently available to watch on Netflix in most international territories, with episodes also on ITVX in the UK.
