The LEGO Group has confirmed the opening date for its 22nd UK store in Oxford after plans for the location were first announced in December 2025.
The launch date has been announced as Thursday, May 7 at Westgate Oxford, and the store will span around 250 square metres. It is the first dedicated LEGO store in Oxfordshire.

Positioned on the ground floor near a main entrance, it will sit alongside major retailers including Primark, TK Maxx and John Lewis. Visitors can expect the usual blend of retail and interactive experiences, with features such as a Pick-a-Brick wall and Build-a-Minifigure station, alongside a wide selection of sets.
Shweta Munshi, Vice President of Marketing for LEGO Retail, previously described Westgate as an ideal location, adding that the site will host product launches, events and serve as a hub for the local LEGO community. Hoardings surrounding the unit already hint at its local focus, featuring brick-built versions of Oxford landmarks including the Radcliffe Camera, as well as nods to the city’s rowing heritage.
With the date now set, attention turns to May 7 as Oxford prepares to welcome its first standalone LEGO store – another step in the company’s continued investment in physical retail across the UK.
