The LEGO Group is testing a new feature for Pick a Brick in select countries that makes it easier to buy pieces by colour.
If you’re based in the UK, France, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, Norway or Australia, you might already have seen Pick a Brick’s latest feature, which now groups elements by their Design ID. What that means in practice is that you can now view all available colours for a specific piece in one place, with previews of colours shown on the gallery view or search results page.
That won’t mean much for specialist pieces like torsos or specific prints, but for common parts like bricks, plates and tiles, it’s a much easier and more straightforward way to view all available colours at once. If you’re not based in any of the testing countries and want to check it out for yourself, all you need to do is head to Pick a Brick and change your region at the foot of the page.
The Pick a Brick team is currently gathering feedback to decide whether to make this change permanent and roll it out worldwide or return to the older format. You can have your say by filling out this survey, which will apparently take around three minutes.
Head over to Pick a Brick to test out the new piece grouping.
