LEGO seemingly sent all its spare Star Trek Shuttlepods to Australia

Did you miss out on Black Friday’s LEGO Star Trek Shuttlepod gift-with-purchase? It may be because the LEGO Group seemingly sent all its spare stock to Australia…

40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod was free with all orders of 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from November 28 to December 1, or while supplies lasted. It turned out that was only a matter of hours in most regions as Star Trek fans asked the LEGO Group to beam them up, thanks very much. But if you’re reading this from down under, you can actually still get your hands on the freebie right now.

In fact, you’ll be able to get it for months yet, as the cut-off date for 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod in Australia is March 1, 2026 or while stocks last. If the LEGO Group is forecasting availability all the way to March, it’s presumably expecting supplies to last at least somewhere near that date – which suggests it’s sitting on a massive stockpile of Shuttlepods in Australia.

The other option is of course that Australia was allocated the same number of GWPs (relative to market size) as everywhere else, but nobody in Australia bothered buying 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D. Both cases seem unlikely truth told, which makes this extended availability period for a set-specific gift-with-purchase all the more unusual.

Either way, if you’re in Australia you’ve still got plenty of time to purchase 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and receive 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod. And that will presumably include the double points event that’s taking place from December 10 to 14, arguably making this an even better time to buy the LEGO Star Trek sets than Black Friday (at least if you prefer points to this year’s Black Friday GWPs).

The rest of us, meanwhile, have no choice now but to grit our teeth and pay the aftermarket price for 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod if we missed out day one (and it’s currently selling for around £75 on average on eBay). That is unless you’re happy to forgo the stickers and minifigure, because you can actually piece it together on Pick a Brick for around £30. Head here for the parts list for that one.

To reiterate: 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod and its exclusive Ensign Ro Laren minifigure are free with all orders of 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D in Australia through March 1, 2026 (or while stocks last).
