LEGO Speed Champions is revving into 2026 with a fake F1 team

LEGO Speed Champions is kicking off next year by continuing its F1 collaboration, but with an entirely fake team in an unexpected twist.

The third movie-inspired car for LEGO Speed Champions next year has been announced – 77252 APXGP Team Race Car. It takes the vehicle and characters from the F1 movie and turns them into a physical LEGO model that can sit alongside the rest of the LEGO Speed Champions F1 sets.

The only major difference (aside from the two minifigures) between it and the other 10 team cars is that this one is based on a fake team. APXGP is a team made for the F1 movie, rather than using an existing team for the film. This means that the set isn't quite essential for collectors, but you'll probably still be tempted by the build and minifigures.

You can find out more about this new set by watching our latest YouTube video, now in an experimental vertical format to assist those watching on mobile devices.

Whether you're tempted by the black and gold colour scheme, or the first minifigures of Brad Pitt and Damson Idris (playing their characters from the film), you cna pre-order 77252 APXGP Team Race Car now for £22.99 / $27.99 / €27.99 on the official online store. The model launches on January 1, 2026.
