LEGO Star Wars 40765 Kamino Training Facility is an excellently-conceived gift-with-purchase to tie in with Attack of the Clones.
Awarded exclusively with LEGO Star Wars purchases of £145 / $160 / €160 or more during this May the 4th period, from May 1 through to May 5 at LEGO.com and in LEGO stores, while stocks last, 40765 Kamino Training Facility offers up a first LEGO Star Wars set to explore the interior of Kamino’s cloning facility.
Based on what we saw during Obi-Wan Kenobi’s tour of Kamino in Attack of the Clones, 40765 Kamino Training Facility offers up three red-suited clones, as well as a KE-8 Enforcer ship to keep them in check. They are placed within a training scenario with a little weapons holder/place for cover, and a four-way blaster turret for target practice.
This is a first instance of building a LEGO Star Wars set within Kamino’s cloning facility and, whilst it is light on detail, the choice of minifigures and small ship make for an excellent first time around. Whilst beyond that the set is limited, there is enough in the design of the minifigures in particular to transport you back to Attack of the Clones and to really want to pick this one up. You may have a lot of clone troopers in various suits, but none in training gear like these…
