LEGO Star Wars 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder review

LEGO Star Wars 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder takes the iconic ship in a new direction, embracing a uniquely fiery colour scheme and a detrimental price point.

Snowspeeders are usually associated with cold environments, but LEGO Star Wars has departed from this iconic appearance of the snowspeeder twice. The first departure was in 75204 Sandspeeder for battles in deserts, and the second is the new 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, remixing the snowspeeder like never before.

75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder rebuilds the iconic ship with a blazing paint job, taking inspiration from the likes of hot rods and Guy Fieri. Still, there's much more to this new snowspeeder than a unique colour scheme and exclusive minifigures. It's just a shame that it has been priced so high, especially considering the niche source material for this snowspeeder.

The LEGO Star Wars team's familiarity with snowspeeders has been almost entirely eschewed in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, and not just in terms of the colour scheme. Everything from the method used to angle the wings to the larger elements used is different from any snowspeeder built before, reflecting the modern era of the LEGO portfolio and the variety of pieces available.

It all combines to form the most accurate and astounding LEGO depiction of a snowspeeder to date, but with a colour scheme that most fans won't be nostalgic for. As it stands, the fiery paint job of 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder is certainly striking, with triangular tiles used to continue the effect beyond the stickers. While the paint job might not be to every enthusiast's taste, its execution is excellent.

The design of the snowspeeder itself is exquisite, using ball joints to perfectly angle the wings while holding them in place as sturdy supports when the ship is on the ground. Sloped pieces are also used to continue the angular shaping, embracing aspects of past LEGO snowspeeders but in a modernised design. Unfortunately, there's no ignoring that the colour scheme of 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder is an unexpected and likely unappealing shift for LEGO snowspeeders. This is despite a previous, yet more grounded departure from the iconic white design, with 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder simply on another level.

Just like most of the other LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy sets, 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder embraces the whimsy of a remixed galaxy far, far away, and the concept is well executed. There's simply no escaping the fact, though, that this fiery design won't appeal to every LEGO Star Wars fan. There's still an important detail for fans to take away from 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder – the snowspeeder foundation in this set is pristine.

Alongside the main snowspeeder model in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder is a smaller fire-decorated speeder that can detach from the bigger build and a redesigned STAP.

This small speeder is attached to the main snowspeeder structure via a simple bar and clip connection, slotting neatly into place and completing the vehicle. It unavoidably extends the shape of the snowspeeder substantially, with the front flaps of the smaller vehicle protruding out the back. Thankfully, the stickered details of these flaps work well with the overall design of the snowspeeder, and it's easy to remove this miniature vehicle without impacting the stability of the larger model.

The STAP is small but efficiently designed, upgrading on previous LEGO STAP builds with more detail in a smaller space, adding a T-shaped bar to even create a small footrest for minifigures. This particular design only works for minifigures, and a modified form also appears in the new 75435 Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT, which is better-suited to Battle Droids. Either way, the new foundation for LEGO STAPs works wonderfully.

The star of the show in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder is without a doubt the new windscreen element, which has been designed specifically for LEGO Star Wars snowspeeder builds.

Previous LEGO snowspeeders have utilised the 30372 windscreen piece, and the newer Ultimate Collector Series build employed the 24248 windscreen. However, neither works quite as well as this new piece. It features rectangular detailing at the front and a window on top of the element in an unparalleled level of detail for LEGO snowspeeders, all without any printing.

Right now, it's only available in yellow and black, but such a perfect piece has almost certainly been designed for use beyond this fiery snowspeeder. It's common knowledge that the LEGO Group designs new pieces with future compatibility in mind, aside from character-specific parts. While nothing is currently confirmed, we look forward to seeing this element used (hopefully in a more familiar snowspeeder build) in the future.

You can't have a new LEGO Star Wars set without some exclusive minifigures, and there are three in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, but your familiarity with them will vary. Dev and Sig Greebling, from the first season of Rebuild the Galaxy, have new outfits in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder. Sig is nothing too special thanks to his simplistic robes, but Dev has some appreciated arm printing that is sure to make even the recent Winter Soldier minifigure jealous.

Solitus is the only exclusive character in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, acting as Jedi Bob's former master in the second season of Rebuild the Galaxy. It's great to see another Duros minifigure, but there's nothing in his outfit that screams Sith, or even Star Wars, for that matter. Isolating the torso and legs, you'd be forgiven for thinking they were for a NINJAGO character.

While three exclusive minifigures in a LEGO Star Wars set are good on paper, their lack of familiarity is likely to decrease their appeal, despite some interesting designs and details. That's not to mention the price for the new LEGO Star Wars snowspeeder set, which is unfortunately detrimental to the overall experience.

With 349 pieces and a source material that is undoubtedly much more niche than the films and series, 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder's retail price of £44.99 / $54.99 / €49.99 is just too high. It's hard to see what in this build could justify such a cost, even when you consider the new snowspeeder windscreen. Something more along the lines of £39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 would be a vast improvement.

There are a lot of unique features in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder, but the fiery paint job and source material inevitably mean that it's not the kind of LEGO Star Wars set that will appeal to the wider Star Wars or even the LEGO Star Wars crowd. In such a situation, you would think that this set would be priced accordingly, at least compared to the rest of the August 2025 sets.

The RRP of this set means that it's destined to go on sale fast, just like every other Rebuild the Galaxy model so far. Once that day comes, this set will be worth considering. In the meantime, rest assured that the LEGO Star Wars designers have mastered snowspeeders at long last, and prepare to wait patiently with fingers crossed for a standard version of this model.

LEGO Star Wars 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder STAP comparison

The new STAP design in 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder embraces a major makeover compared to the vehicle builds from the animated The Clone Wars era of sets. The 2025 model has a smaller footprint, but it's still recognisable as a STAP.

From the addition of the footrest at the base of the build to the smaller transparent stand used to hold it aloft, without drastically altering the design of the vehicle itself, this new STAP design is an improvement in every way and it can be adapted to have a Battle Droid pilot by changing a single piece. We can only hope that this design will stick around for some easy army-building.
