LEGO Store Leeds re-opens its doors with staggered GWPs

Multiple GWPs are available from the newly-opened LEGO Store in Leeds, but visitors won’t be able to double up on the best of those freebies.

The LEGO Store Leeds recently moved to a larger retail space within the Trinity shopping centre and has now thrown open its doors to shoppers as of today. Those who do pop into the location over the next few weeks will be able to secure some special bonus GWPs as rewards, but not all of those items will be available concurrently.

TheShakyHandsMan on Reddit was the first to post what some of those promotional freebies are, with 5009407 LEGO Store Ribbon Cutting up for grabs with in-store spends of £135 and over, which comes with an exclusive ‘I Heart LEGO Store Leeds’ printed tile.

That post also mentions that a previously-confirmed GWP wasn’t available on opening day, but would apparently arrive at a later date. An official description of the launch day promotions for the LEGO Store Leeds had stated that those who turned up to the new retail location would be able to get their hands on two additional freebies from April 23 to April 26 in the shape of 40528 LEGO Store and 30688 Tropical Toucan.

When contacted, the LEGO Store Leeds confirmed to Brick Fanatics that the Creator 3-in-1 set is available to customers from opening day with purchases of £35 and over during the dates mentioned above, but that the paper bag build is being rotated with 40916 Floral Picture Frame for the same price, at least while stocks of both freebies last that is.

What's more, the LEGO Store Leeds also confirmed that the 40528 LEGO Store GWP would now be arriving as a promotional offer from May 7 to May 10 instead and can be obtained with all spends of at least £120, while stocks last.

As far as we can tell, this appears to buck the trend for standard LEGO Store openings, with all GWPs usually available from launch day and during the same timeframe. It’s too early to tell whether this will continue to be the case going forward, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on the LEGO Store Oxford when it welcomes visitors on May 7, 2026.

The UK’s latest retail location will be opening its doors on that date next month, offering customers 5009407 LEGO Store Ribbon Cutting and 30688 Tropical Toucan as GWPs from May 7 to May 10, then 40528 LEGO Store from May 22 to May 25 (while stocks last), although it’s too early to say if any additional freebies such as 40916 Floral Picture Frame will be up for grabs too.
