LEGO Stranger Things 2026 gift hides spoiler in plain sight

One of two new LEGO Stranger Things sets launching next year features a genuinely massive spoiler for a recent episode, hiding in plain sight.

Be aware that this article will feature heavy spoilers for Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2, streaming now on Netflix.

The most recent Stranger Things Season 5 drop has revealed a major revelation regarding the Upside Down, twisting everything we thought we knew about the alternate world. Despite only just being revealed in the show, it's something that has been in plain sight in a LEGO Stranger Things set revealed on December 2.

The reveal is that the Upside Down is actually a wormhole connecting Hawkins and another world, now coined the Abyss. Following this huge surprise in one of the most recent episodes, the team manages to reunite to discuss their plan to take down Vecna just before the final episode streams in just a few days.

While making this plan, they use the windows of the WSQK recording booth to draw a diagram depicting the bridge between Hawkins and the Abyss and a helicopter to take them from one end to the other.

This diagram is featured clearly in 40891 Stranger Things: WSQK Radio Station, hiding the truth of the Upside Down in plain sight since it was revealed on December 2. Without the proper context, we couldn't possibly decode what this meant, but it seems obvious now. In hindsight, it's surprising to see that the Netflix and Stranger Things team allowed such a major spoiler to be revealed nearly a month before the seventh episode would be released.
