Official details of the upcoming LEGO Super Mario 71426 Piranha Plant have been revealed, including price, piece count and release date.
Following last year’s release of 71411 The Mighty Bowser, the LEGO Group has now revealed details of the next 18+ LEGO Super Mario set that will soon be joining the video game theme. First teased earlier today in a mysterious social media post is 71426 Piranha Plant, a 540-piece set that will be available on November 6 priced at £57.99 / $59.99 / €64.99.

The licensed Nintendo model features a poseable head, mouth, stalk and leaves and sits in a buildable green pipe. Also included with the upcoming set are two coin elements, although there are no digital play functions or compatibility with existing LEGO Super Mario products.
While that may ultimately prove to be a disappointment to some fans of the theme, 71426 Piranha Plant still looks to be a worth display piece in its own right and is certainly a much more affordable purchase when compared to the likes of 71411 The Mighty Bowser.
With only 540 pieces included in the set, we’re a little surprised that 71426 Piranha Plant is being marketed as an 18+ build, although there may well be some slightly complex construction required in order to fully assemble the LEGO Super Mario model.
