You can make your own LEGO Formula 1 trophy at home

The LEGO community's talents know no bounds, as someone has already reverse-engineered the LEGO Formula 1 trophy to help you make one.

Fewer than 24 hours after the LEGO Formula 1 trophies were revealed at the British Grand Prix, ntader on Rebrickable has already unveiled their reverse-engineered recreation of the trophy for us all to make at home.

They've had to substitute the many chrome gold parts for pearl gold or even yellow varieties, but the shape of the trophy is present for those who were impressed by the builds yesterday and would like a centrepiece for their LEGO Formula 1 collection. Notably, the instructions for this huge build are entirely free, and the parts list provided on Rebrickable can be downloaded and imported into Pick a Brick.

At the time of writing, some of the kinds of elements used in this build are unavailable on Pick a Brick at the time of writing, but those that are available bring the total to £111.41 / $137.58 / €128.75. We estimate that sourcing the rest of the elements (or switching them out for other suitable pieces on Pick a Brick) would cost you another £20 / $20 / €20.

That's still far more affordable than it would almost certainly be to source one of the real trophies yourself, if the drivers who won them are even willing to give them up in the first place.

Download the parts list and instructions for this trophy over on Rebrickable now for free, at the time of writing. You can pair this trophy with the likes of 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars, the Speed Champions sets and even the larger Technic models.
