LEGO DC Super Hero Girls will be launched worldwide in January 2017, with an early release at the end of November in the USA – for Hollywood actor Reese Witherspoon, the new theme cannot come soon enough. She shared her enthusiasm on Facebook with the following status:
It's good news for the LEGO Group, as the star specifically highlights that she wants to buy them for her son – with the controversy that surrounded the launch of LEGO Friends, any reminder that children of either gender can play with any LEGO product is a win for the company.
Three DC Super Hero Girls will be released in the USA on November 27. The theme is based on a cross-platform story line featuring the biggest characters from the DC Universe at high school, told predominantly through a series of YouTube shorts.
