Looking for new ways to use your existing LEGO Art sets? Go beyond the basics with Breaking Bad, The Boys, Stranger Things and more – all using pieces from official models.
The LEGO Group’s brick-built mosaics have been a treasure trove of alternate models from the very beginning, and that principle now extends to 2022 sets including 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection,
Several designs require more than one copy of a specific set, or a combination of multiple different sets, but you’ll never need to turn to BrickLink or start rooting around in your own surplus parts collection: they can all be achieved solely with the tiles or plates included in the official LEGO Art mosaics.
A single copy of 31205 Jim Lee Batman Collection, for instance, will give you all the pieces you need to create mosaics of Wolverine, Ahsoka Tano and Captain Jack Sparrow. It makes sense: the DC set includes a huge variety of versatile colours for Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn, all of which are perfectly suited for other pop culture characters.
Much the same can be said for the mix of nougat shades in
Best of all, KCZD has provided free instructions for many of their designs on their Instagram page, while the others are fairly simple to recreate by zooming in on the images (these are only two-dimensional designs, of course). The only downside? You might find yourself devoting far too much of your budget to LEGO Art sets now that you know what else is possible…
