UK retailer quietly changes the RRP of LEGO Star Wars 327th Clone Troopers Battle Pack

A UK retailer has permanently adjusted the RRP of the latest LEGO Star Wars battle pack, the original price of which the community has slated as ‘ridiculous’ and ‘disgusting’.

This summer’s 75431 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack brought yellow-tinted troops back to shelves for the first time in 20 years, but exacted a hefty toll from LEGO Star Wars fans in the process. The 258-piece set – which includes four Clone Troopers and three Super Battle Droids – retails for £34.99 in the UK, $44.99 in the US and €39.99 in Europe. That’s a £10 / $15 / €10 increase on 2024’s similarly-sized 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack.

The response from LEGO fans has not been kind: the battle pack is currently rated 1.3 stars (out of five) at LEGO.com from 720 reviews, which label the price as ‘disgusting’, ‘absolutely ridiculous’ and ‘ludicrous’. It didn’t take long for 75431 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack to reach discounts that brought it down to parity with its predecessor in the UK at £24.99 – and Smyths Toys has now made that change permanent.

On both its website and in store, the price of the 327th Clone battle pack is £24.99, with no mention of any discount. The image above from redditor yuiwitty shows 75341 side-by-side with 75372, the latter of which is currently discounted to only £17.99 – but the shelf-edge label clearly states that its original RRP is £24.99. There’s no such messaging for 75341’s label, suggesting £24.99 is now the permanent RRP for that set at Smyths.

It’s still listed with an RRP of £34.99 at most other retailers, including LEGO.com, but you can also order it for £24.99 at Amazon and a flat £25 at The Entertainer – and both of those discounts have been available for a good while too. As we highlighted in our hands-on review of the summer 2025 LEGO Star Wars set, £24.99 is a price at which you can justify taking the plunge on one or two copies.

What will be interesting to see now is whether Smyths Toys further discounts 75431 from its new RRP, in line with 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack. If its 327th Legion equivalent also drops to £17.99 there, other retailers could follow suit (Amazon is especially prone to price-matching) – and that can only be a good thing for beleaguered LEGO Star Wars fans just trying to build an army of yellow soldiers.
