Second LEGO Ideas 2025 review round opens up with a European city

A trio of fan designers have teamed up for a detailed recreation of a European city, becoming the first set in the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025.

LEGO Ideas users ReginaZucchinaEfficiente032, GeneraleCrominusSorpreso033, and CreatoreFungoScivoloso033 have joined forces to create a 2,000-piece model of the city of Bellinzona. Located in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, Bellinzona is famous for being the only fortress city in Europe.

In LEGO form, the set includes the three castles and the well-known wall that make up the fortress, along with a small part of its historic village. It measures 26 studs by 54 by 14, for a sizable build that packs in a lot of detail.

The key sights featured (and labelled along the black base) include Castel Grande paired with a representation of the medieval historic town of Bellinzona, with its characteristic wall and fountain; Montebello, immersed in vegetation; and Sasso Corbaro, the smallest and highest of the three.

The Fortress of Bellinzona becomes the very first project in the second 2025 review, with the first round having just closed earlier this week.
