Seven LEGO sets we didn't expect to see discounted this early

Some LEGO sets go on sale sooner than others – but here are a few we didn't expect to see discounted so soon after their release.

June 1 was a big day for LEGO releases, bringing some exciting new sets to LEGO Star Wars, Icons, Harry Potter, and more. Often, especially for high-profile sets like those released for the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary, you have to wait at least a few months to see discounts appear, even with third-party retailers.

However, between John Lewis and GAME, UK shoppers have some tempting offers on just-released LEGO sets that you might not have expected to see reduced quite so soon. Prime among them has to be 75381 Droideka and 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama, two of the most recent additions to the anniversary line-up. Both are reduced by 20% at GAME right now, priced at £48 and £56 respectively.

Another discount to take notice of as a LEGO Star Wars fan is 75386 Paz Vizsla and Moff Gideon Battle, now available for just £28. You'll get two seriously impressive minifigures here in the form of Paz Vizdla and Moff Gideon in Dark Trooper armour, as well as two Praetorian Guards to boot.

Outside of LEGO Star Wars, now is your chance to save on the largest part of the latest brick-built version of Harry Potter's Wizarding School, with £34 off 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall right now. LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna is also on offer at John Lewis right now, just a few weeks after racing onto shelves, complete with its unique minifigure based on Senna himself.
