The next LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase launches tomorrow but you'd benefit from waiting a bit longer to grab it, risking a stock shortage.
A massive day for new LEGO sets is around the corner with the November 1 models and an official livestream early in the month too. Before the excitement starts though, the LEGO Ideas 40698 Books Are My Passion gift-with-purchase is confirmed to be offered.
From October 28 to November 11, purchases at $130 / €130 / £130 and above will qualify for the 285-piece set. While there are plenty of recent releases and upcoming builds to order and pre-order respectively, you might want to risk waiting a few days to place a qualifying purchase.
The only two November 1 releases confirmed so far (via early access to LEGO Insiders) both qualify for 40698 Books Are My Passion. 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion and 21353 The Botanical Garden launch a few days after the start of the offer period for the LEGO Ideas set and they have their own unique gifts-with-purchase while stocks last too.
Picking up 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion immediately as a LEGO Insiders member should net you both 5009015 Cerebro and 40698 Books Are My Passion. Buying 21353 The Botanical Garden on the first day of early access for LEGO Insiders will qualify you for 5009005 Entrance Gate and the smaller LEGO Ideas set too. That's only as long as stock levels for 40698 Books Are My Passion last until November 1, though it's unlikely that it will be quite that popular.
Continuing the combo for each November 1 release, 40698 Books Are My Passion fits in with both builds too. The synergy between the GWP and 21353 The Botanical Garden is easier to understand as they're both part of LEGO Ideas and will be essential for collectors of the theme.
40698 Books Are My Passion also relates to 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion though as bookshelves are featured inside the mansion and you can use the LEGO Ideas set to expand on what's already available. Otherwise, the colour schemes between the two sets aren't dissimilar either.
Waiting until November 1 exposes you to the risk of missing out on the book-based LEGO Ideas set in your region, as the deal is subject to availability. It's not uncommon for LEGO gifts-with-purchase to sell out long before the end of their offer period, though pairing the new gift with the pair of exciting sets and their corresponding gifts might be worthwhile to you.
