There's already a version of rumoured LEGO Disney Lilo & Stitch house out there

LEGO Disney is rumoured to be bringing out a brick-built Lilo and Stitch house in 2025 but a fan designer has already offered us an idea of what it could look like.

According to the latest LEGO Disney rumours reported by lego_minecraft_goat on Instagram, we could be getting a brick-built Lilo and Stitch house in set number 43268, priced at $89.99 for its 834 pieces. If the set does come out as expected as March 2025, that would be a few months ahead of the release of the live-action movie, a typical schedule for LEGO sets tied to new titles.

That means it could be a version of the house that we see in the live-action movie, although long-term fans would hope that's similar to what we saw in the classic animated show. As such, we could already have an idea of what a LEGO version could look like, thanks to fan designer ItsABricksLife626's Lilo & Stitch: Beach House. While the LEGO Ideas project wasn't ultimately successful, it did gain 10,000 supporters and qualified for the second review round back in 2022.

This isn't the first time that a LEGO Ideas set has been rejected and then appeared as a LEGO set – or even the first time within the LEGO Disney theme. Harry Finkel, the designer of a LEGO Ideas Snow White project, described his disappointment with the LEGO Group after seeing a Snow White set get revealed after his own version was rejected.

However, it's worth noting that LEGO sets are long in the making, especially when connected to major franchises like Disney, so the reason for ItsABricksLife626's build getting rejected could be because the LEGO Group was already working on a similar set or didn't yet have the rights.

Whatever the reason, the existing design thanks to ItsABricksLife626 does ramp up the excitement for the rumoured LEGO Disney set. The unique structure of the on-screen building would make for a fun build, being raised up on stilts and nestled into the green bushes. We've not had many builds like this and it'll be a unique challenge for the LEGO designers to maintain stability as well as authenticity to the design – unless it changes dramatically for the live-action movie.
